About Us - Board of Directors

Jim Aldrich - Vice President

Jim has a PhD in geology from The University of New Mexico.

His 30 plus years of involvement with various geologic investigations includes mapping soils in Alaska, Arizona, Nevada, and New Mexico for both environmental assessments and neotectonic studies.

He and his wife have been long-time supporters of various nonprofit organizations that support environmental initiatives including, but not limited to, the Nature Conservancy, the American Farmland Trust, the National Wildlife Federation, and the National Resource Defense Council.

He retired to Clallam County in 2005 and soon became an active volunteer for Friends of the Fields making house calls and telephoning voters to request their support for a buyers excise tax that would provide funds to purchase the development rights of farmland.

Jim served as President of Friends of the Fields, and is now a member of the NOLT Board.
